Small group programs – registration now open

Often times children benefit from practicing the skills they’ve learned through 1 to 1 therapy in a group environment.

We offer several small group programs to help children practice skills such as: communication, behaviour, social or motor.

Mid-week Social Group

Mid-week Social is a social skills program for school-aged children. The program works on social skills such as reading peers body language, advanced language and social language skills, critical thinking and developing in-depth friendships.

 

Location: Toronto clinic – 1131 Leslie St Toronto

Day of the week: Wednesdays

Time: 4:30-6:00pm

Ages: 7-12 years old

Cost: $250 for 5 Wednesdays

Skills developed in this group:

  • Learn to socialize in age appropriate play and conversation.
  • Practice the skills needed for community outings within the area (for example, walking to the convenience store, asking for change, asking for directions, etc.).
  • Teamwork and team building skills through sports, board games and various activities that require group dynamics and strategic thinking.
  • Learn to playfully relate to peers through conversational maintenance and initiations facilitated within the program.

Let’s Socialize Group

Our Let’s Socialize group is designed to support children in developing appropriate social skills in a classroom-type setting using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) methods and goals. The group is facilitated by a member of the Behaviour Therapy Team, and supervised by a Speech Language Pathologist or Occupational Therapist.

 

Location: Toronto clinic – 1131 Leslie St Toronto, ON M3C 2J6

Day of the week: Saturday

Time: 9:00am-11:00am

Ages: 3-6 years old

Cost: $250 for 5 Saturdays

After School Club

Our After School Club is designed to support children in building upon their social, play, language, and functional living skills in a fun and structured environment. Using the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), our After School Club members are supported by our Behaviour Therapy team. The group will work cooperatively with one another on group goals, and also on individualized goals utilizing their strengths.

 

Location: Aurora clinic – 52 Victoria St. Aurora

Days of the week: Monday-Friday

Time: 2:30pm-5:30pm

Ages:

Cost: $150 each week (Monday-Friday)

Milestones & Me

Time:10:00am-11:00am

Cost: $350 for 5 weeks

Ages: 3-12 months

Program description:

Facilitated by a licensed and experienced regulated health professional with specialized training in child development and paediatric
health care, this parent and baby group provides the opportunity to review motor skill development, play skills, feeding progression
and overall developmental milestones for children 3-12 months of age.

During weekly, one-hour sessions, parents will be provided tools and tips to encourage motor development and learn about ways to
promote appropriate development across all three areas! In addition, each session will be structured in a way which provides every
participant with an opportunity to meet one-on-one with the therapist. During this time, you’ll be able to receive recommendations,
see exercises demonstrated or get answers to questions which are specific to your new bundle of joy.

Program fees:

This 5-week program is available for $175 and payment can be made using VISA or MasterCard. A 50% deposit is due at time of
registration and the remaining 50% balance is due on the date of first session. If you have extended health benefits coverage,
this program may be covered under Physiotherapy.

Cancellation policy:

Registration deposits are 100% refundable, provided that cancellation is received at least one week prior to the first session.
Fees cannot be refunded or prorated due to absence or missed session and deposits are non-refundable if less than one week notice
is provided prior to cancelling.
