Samantha HerbermanSupervisor, Behaviour Therapy
Samantha Herberman, M.ADS, BCBA, is a Supervisor in our Behaviour Therapy team and Behaviour consultant with over 10 years of experience working with children, with a variety of special needs. She obtained her Masters of Applied Disability Studies with a specialization in Applied Behaviour Analysis at Brock University in 2013 and a Bachelors of Psychology at the University of Guelph in 2010. She is also a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, a certification that she earned in 2014.
Samantha has experience working with children with a wide range of conditions including: Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD/ADD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Down Syndrome, Learning Disabilities, Speech-Language Delay, Oppositional Defiant, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and a Rare Genetic Disorder (Angelman).
Samantha’s approaches enable her clients to learn new socially appropriate behaviours and also decrease problematic behaviours. Thus allowing them to participate in every day events and activities with their peers, family, and friends. For Samantha, seeing her clients learn and gaining the ability to engage in new and socially appropriate skills both inside and outside of the clinic is her biggest joy.
