2022 – October 23, November 27, December 18
2023 – January 22, February 26 and March 26 (One session per month on Sundays)
Ages: 8-13 years
Sibshops provide opportunities for the siblings of children with special needs to receive peer support in an informal setting. Siblings of those with special needs face unique issues at home, school and through their daily lives that many same age peers may not understand. The sibling workshops are designed to create an environment to give children the spotlight to have fun without a focus on their sibling. Through engaging in activities, it allows for a safe space to share about the great and challenging parts of having a sib with special needs with others who can relate and get it.
Fees: $45 per session (Enrollment on a session by session basis. Attend one session or more than one as you wish!)
Each Workshop will provide:
- Games and activities to let loose with no responsibilities
- Social support with other special sibs of similar ages
- International curriculum facilitated by an Occupational Therapist with lived experience
