Our Preschool JK/SK program continues to make a difference in the lives of our clients and families. Incorporating the family, and your child’s clinicians in various areas, allows us to create an individualized program, incorporating all techniques/strategies and recommendations into their daily living.

Our program is designed to prepare children for a successful integration into the public school system by Grade One. We work on skills such as: school readiness, following classroom routines, academics, as well as social skills. We use the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, and conduct an assessment upon entry into the program, to help develop a well-rounded, comprehensive program. Our curriculum follows the guidelines of the ABLLS (Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills) as well as the Ontario Kindergarten Curriculum.

Our classroom is conducted to replicate that of a typical Kindergarten class, operating in blocks of time for each area of development. Our program is a thematic based program, where every month your child will participate in a field trip, associated to the theme of the month. Each term you will receive a report card, outlining areas of strength, challenges and ways in which you can support your child’s learning and development, at home.

The Preschool JK/SK program is flexible with days of enrollment, and most often clients choose to receive a combination of services, which can easily be accommodated within the program. Our day starts at 9am-3:30pm, with our half day option being either 9am-12pm or 12:30pm-3:30pm.
